1. Grover Cleveland

 

He will perhaps go down in history as the only president to ever serve two terms non-sequentially. During his first electoral campaign in 1884, he had been accused of having an affair with a widow named Maria C. Halpin. She gave birth to a son and Cleveland agreed to pay child support for him.

Arguably, this sort of scandal drew more criticism at the end of the 19th century than it might nowadays, but it certainly was a big deal at the time.
