Ideally, we all want to live in a nation of laws. But we certainly hope the laws are rational, based on the premise of the public good, and enforced with common sense as guidance.
On a recent visit to Panama City Beach in Florida, an Alabama youth minister and his family were confronted by police for building a sand castle on the beach.
What seemed to be an innocent activity for the father and his 7-year old son turned into a confrontation that prompted the response of four police cruisers to the scene to deal with the “criminal” activity.
Learn how Bryant Rylee’s request for a simple explanation of the ordinance police cited turned into an event where he was punished for having innocent fun with his son. The story unfolds on the next page.
Okay Panama City you need to change that law! That’s crazy!!
Ridiculous!
If that police department has time for this kind of nonsense perhaps its time to cut their budget
That’s serious!
Wow couldnt find a real criminal?
UNBELIEVABLE!
Government Intelligence at its finest…
I live on the beach and one of my biggest pet peeves is tourists digging ridiculous deep holes in the sand and leaving them. This is a hazard to people that are walking on the beach (especially at night). Not only can you sustain injury, but if a small child fell in, the walls could actually collapse and bury them. And before anyone says “that wouldn’t happen”…..I assure it CAN happen and has. I don’t mind if anyone digs the hole, just fill it up before you leave it.
My God unauthorized sand castle building! Where is the National Guard? Must be time for marshal law! Really is this all the police have to do? The castles only last 1 tide change. lol!
Too friggin stupid for words
Liberals are insane
