In Ohio you can be arrested for having a compartment in your vehicle that police think might be able to contain drugs, even if it has nothing to do with drugs. This is not just one of those stupid laws on the books that nobody pays attention to. Instead, this is a law passed in 2012 that was enforced for the first time with an arrest in late November 2013.
Several states have passed ‘secret compartment’ laws that state you can be arrested simply for having a compartment in your car – even if there is nothing in it.

GOD HAS A SPECIAL PLACE FOR THESE TRAITORS OF OATH WHO PLACED THERE HANDS ON THE HOLY BIBLE AND SWORE TO PROTECT AMERICA…ENOUGH SAID…MAY GOD SHOW THEM NO MERCY….PERIOD..GOD BLESS YOUR GREAT NATION,AMEN
What a bunch of BULL S_ _ _!!!!
you talking about abuse of our rights…this is idiotic and insane
This is most definitely NOT “liberalism” I don’t even know how you relate the two. I was in complete agreement with you until that idiotic statement. If anything it’s the conservative party who tries to control every aspect of your personal life inside your home and out. The GOP are always accusing the “liberals” of being too soft on criminals and drugs and the whole point of being liberal is allowing people to be themselves and acceptance of everyone’s differences. lib·er·al

Liberal law to avoid 4th amendment
What if your car comes with the secret/hidden compartment? A few Buick models have those. I wouldn’t consider that illegal in anyway since the car can be legally bought that way! Also, I think if you pull over a car, police should have some kind of schematics showing all the compartments and such… However I suppose if you created the hidden compartment yourself, you should get flagged for it, but not arrested if nothing was found! That shouldn’t have stuck in court!
