90-year-old Arnold Abbott, a veteran of World War 2 and founder of Love Thy Neighbor, has been feeding homeless people for 23 years through his organization.
This past weekend he was arrested along with two Pastors when trying to feed homeless people in a Fort Lauderdale, FL park. He faces 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.
“One of the police officers said, ‘Drop that plate right now,’ as if I were carrying a weapon,” stated Abbott.

Depriving someone of the use of their property ( I.e. the plate) constitutes “Theft”. The officer in question is clearly guilty if the man being ordered around was not being arrested. How many other complaints were made against the officer? This also may cast a shadow on every single arrest and traffic ticket that officer that officer may have even been remotely involved with.
SHAMEFUL!
What next ????
OH but I bet if you were taking food and water to illegals crossing our borders they would help you with a ride there! These people stopping this are despicable people! The lowest forms of life! And don’t give me that c**p that I am doing my job and obeying orders. There are orders not meant nor should you EVER follow!
Good for you, what we can only feed immigrants?
I’m glad that this group is on the right side of this situation
Charges should be dismissed
I’m ashamed to be an American.
How did our country become so compassionless ????
What the hell is our country coming to. God bless him and hope these cops rot in hell
