Jean Mamakos, a 68-year-old woman from Long Island, is suing United Airlines for $5 million after she spent 3 days in jail following an arrest for attempting to change seats on her flight.
The charge for changing seats on on a plane? Get this: Trespassing
The story is baffling on several levels and garnered enough attention that it was featured on Inside Edition (watch the brief clip next).
Thats no woman thats jeff figor
And what about the pre flight briefing? Every flight that I have been on, during the briefing, they give those that are sitting in the emergency aisle the option of moving to another seat if you don’t feel capable of helping in the case of an emergency. Was this offered? This is too bad. In the past I have enjoyed fllying United. Never again. I will be passing this on.
bada bing bada bang Judy!
if she was a lesbian, they would not have arrested her.
you’re so bad haha ^_^
“The land of the free” – thats rich – we haven’t been free in any way during my lifetime !
she should have stayed in her assigned seat and not be roaming around trying to get a better seat of which she didn;t pay for, others paid to price to sit in those seats, so why should she get to see there.
Their reasons of balance, weight, and, safety regulations are BS for the most part. I have had flight attendants ask me if I’d like to move to another row or seat. I outweigh this gal by at least 100 lbs. Where she shouldn’t have moved to was the emergency exit. That’s probably what got her deplaned…especially if she was obstanant bout it at all. That said, who the hell would fly United anymore anyway?!
The airline industry has every one by the shorts….and they know it.
You people are f—ing nuts!
