Jean Mamakos, a 68-year-old woman from Long Island, is suing United Airlines for $5 million after she spent 3 days in jail following an arrest for attempting to change seats on her flight.
The charge for changing seats on on a plane? Get this: Trespassing
The story is baffling on several levels and garnered enough attention that it was featured on Inside Edition (watch the brief clip next).
HOW STUPID
Another reason not to FLY!
One of the big reasons I will not fly again in my life. People want to see me they can come to my home. They are always welcome, call first.
She’s lying. She was a disruptive passenger
This is ridiculously stupid.
You like to call her stupid, a registered nurse, whom I think would know the difference between to, too, and two! You should have used “too” you idiot!
can’t you feel the christmas love ? Tjay probably had to much brandy at his christmas dinner
DInsane.
give me a breaK- are there no judges with brains out there?
I hate United and decided after my second flight with them that I would never fly them again. They offer no service to the disabled in pain. While flying home from Korea ill and feverish from a leg infection, they told me I could lay down on the floor to ease my pain, but that I could not sit elsewhere to elevate my leg that was infected and horribly swollen. I even offered to upgrade to business class which didn’t have one customer. They wouldn’t hear of it. Their new international flights took up more room for first and business class to lay down, but they won’t do a damn thing for someone in painful distress. I will pay for business fare for another airline, say Asiana, before I give these heartless creeps my $2000 for a third class seat with my knees touching the seat in front of me.
