Dishonest or just inept? How are Americans supposed to believe anything the Obama regime claims about Obamacare if the White House can’t even offer an accurate count of how many ObamaCare enrollees have paid their premiums?
The administration boasted President Obama’s highly touted health care exchange program enrolled 5 million Americans, but if they don’t know how many have paid the premiums due, perhaps even the 5 million is just a vague estimate or even pure fabrication.
“CMS is working to provide more detailed data on who has already paid their premiums…but we don’t have specific data that is in a reliable enough form to provide,” Carney admitted to reporters during Tuesday’s White House Briefing.
Below is a transcript of the exchange:
ED HENRY: Jay, can I ask you about health care? You started out by saying 5 million people have enrolled. Is that the correct word, “enrolled,” since we still don’t know how many people have actually paid their premiums? Is it 5 million signed up? Will we get the information on who’s actually enrolled and paid their premiums?
MR. CARNEY: CMS is working to provide more detailed data on who has already paid their premiums, what percentage of the population of enrollees that includes.
We can point you to major insurers who have placed that figure at 80 percent, give or take, depending on the insurer, but we don’t have specific data that is, you know, in a reliable enough form to provide.

The first 2 is enough………..
They have no clue on most things give they credit for admitting it on this one.
The problem is that there are not sufficient numbers of people in the “millennial” age group; those from ages 20 to 35 to generate the necessary reserves to pay the medical claims of older and sicker Americans. This also creates a problem in that the risk pool is so small that it will prevent insurers from accurately predicting the numbers of claims that will occur and their relative severity.
This is elementary risk management and basic reserve funding. I am astounded that the Obama administration did not plan for this eventuality. The decision to allow some policies that had been cancelled to be reconstituted medicates a level of abject ignorance about insurance regulatory process; which is almost solely under the purview of individual state insurance commissioners. You don’t simply snap your fingers and bring these terminated policies back into existence without completing the regulatory approval process, which can take months, even if approved.
Dishonest AND inept!

Damn Liars, ALL of them !!
