One of the laws of economics that liberals are forced to deny to push their agenda is that it is impossible to legislate the value of someone’s work. That can only be done by the market as it compares the value of all work and assigns values based on how those people making up that market chose to spend their money.
The government can certainly pass laws stating the minimum rates that a worker can be paid for performing specific jobs, but all that means is that if someone’s work is not deemed by the market to be worth that wage, workers will not be employed to do those jobs. In some cases, technology that was previously too expensive will now become economical and will be used to replace human workers.
An example of this is provided on page two.
Correction – only Repubicans get caught and go to jail for not paying their taxes. Democrats get a free pass. It is well-known that Dems don’t pay taxes and walk free.

I’m a chef and until you show the profit margin or the mark up you proved nothing. How much do they pay for 2 patties, a slice of cheese and each bun. How old are their employees deciding how many they need. What equipment an employee can legally use and how many hours or how late they can work depends on age and school nights. On top of all of that how can a business survive paying a dishwasher that much and why should a person constantly in the bathroom, tying their shoes or has their underwear hanging out and pulling up their pants make the same as someone working their$#%&!@*off?
Mark? You must be an authority on ignorance. Tell me more.
They hire illegals they hire the lawyers to not pay tax they brag about it daily they are the problem as it used to myth of the freeloaders that they actually are you people are eight the hell up foxed up completely
Pretty much everybody predicted this would happen. I don’t understand why anybody would be shocked by a business attempting to control artificially inflated labor expenses.
In the retail food market, there’s very little margin to raise product prices. The difference must be made up somewhere, and that looks as though in this case it’ll be made up by reducing the number of employees.
