During Scott Walker’s speech announcing he is suspending his campaign, he spoke of leading the way to clear the field of candidates to enable a true Republican conservative to rise to the “top”. Walker, who after the last debate was at 1%, decided to throw in the towel. Commentators stated many had hopes for Walker, with his record as a strong conservative, and his ability to withstand the union recall.
