A social media post about an armed soldier who was refused service at a Kentucky restaurant is going viral.
Billy Welch is an Army National Guard soldier. Welch says he always keeps his gun holstered to his side for safety reasons.
Welch says around 1:30 a.m. he stopped at the Waffle House in Nicholsville wearing his military uniform with his gun by his side.
After ordering his food, he said a waitress signaled for him to come over.
“I got up and I walked over to them, asked them how they were doing and stuff, and they said I’d have to take my firearm outside. I don’t feel comfortable taking my firearm away from me. I always keep it with me and they said, ‘it’s one of our policies.’”

YAY for waffle house! I would not serve any uniformed soldier, firefighter, or leo of any sort either. They make paying customers uncomfortable.
I will be bypassing this Waffle House.

I’m afraid you watch way to much TV!
Richard explain yourself
Screw waffle house
Oh for crying out loud. He wasn’t refused any sort of service. He left voluntarily from privately owned property after he was asked to leave his gun outside. STFU you lying cunts. I’m pretty sure he isn’t allowed his sidearm in uniform or on duty anyways so maybe he belongs in the brig?
Not suppose to be carrying a civilian weapon while in uniform. I don’t eat there because their food sucks. This guy was in the wrong for being in uniform carrying. He knew it, did it anyway.
Totally unconscionable!!!
It was not because of his uniform. His gun is not part of that and I’ll bet he isn’t even allowed to carry it in uniform or on duty.
