A veteran turned into a heroic student as he attempted to save his classmates from the Oregon college shooter.
Family members state that Army veteran Chris Mintz, 30, bull-rushed the Oregon shooter in an attempt to shield other students and ultimately take down the attacker down – taking five shots in the process.
Mintz was taken to hospital following the massacre at Umpqua Community College on Thursday morning. He is reported to have kept repeating “It’s my sons birthday, it’s my sons birthday,” while barely conscience.

Truth and Action, it doesn’t matter whether it was one or up to seven Chris is still a hero. God bless this man and his family.
Chris Mintz is not dead. I sent him flowers. This hero is alive and will survive his seven bullets.
Amen
This man is a hero, and a patriot.
Bless you sir. Get well soon and thank you
If he could do that bare handed, . He should of had a 600 nitro mag and blew that worthless jerk-offs head off, game over!!!!!!!
Two of those shots were said to be in his abdomen, and back. It was said one of his hands was also injured. FIND the photo online, of him on a guerney. NO bandage on either hand. Someone on alternative media, wondered WHY his broken legs weren’t in the block type splints. Even in hospital, this man was ALL smiles=through all that pain. New pain meds., or is he just a hero????
Guns are allowed on that campus, there was a guy on campus who was carrying a gun, he did nothing, he didn’t want the police to think he was a shooter and get shot himself. Get your facts correct!
Thank God for this HERO !!!
American hero!
