Veteran Jonathan Montano was brutally beaten to death by VA police in Loma Linda, CA for trying to leave the hospital after waiting 4 hours with a needle in his arm.
His widow recently filed suit. The couple had been married for 44 years.
“The summoned VA Police Department police officers then stopped Jonathan Montano from leaving the VA Hospital in Loma Linda, by tackling him to the floor, slamming his head on the floor, and kneeing and stomping on his neck, and otherwise brutalizing and restraining him,” the lawsuit said.

Maybe some vets will give him the same.
There was no excuse for violence on an older man and a veteran. If he wanted to leave then let him and write it up in his records, but what gave those Va Police the right to even lay their hands on him? They need to be punished as alot of police have lately been killing unarmed citizens with their brutality.
I would love to see some arrangements made with the local Hospitals to take over our veteran healthcare and completely dismantle all V.A. Hospital… This is just another government money pit with no supervision and all the moneys are going into some politicians pockets . I have zero trust in anything our government has their fingers in…. Especially the present Un-American, hate filled pretender setting illegally in our Oval Office. Of course this is just my opinion…
This is really outrageous!
stupid cop, i hope he goes to prison.
you cannot stop a person from leaving a hospital they may sign a form but cops had no right to do this
coming to an Obamacare center near you
Going to VA for 50 years and I have always been treated with respect & the best of medical care. However, if this is true than the VA police officer should be fired and put on trial.
So why is it the VA has a police force ? I thought it stood for Veterans Administration, you know know health care and benefits for veterans. Exactly what do they police ?
