One could argue that if you really want to judge a nation’s righteousness, look at how it treats those who risked their lives to keep it safe. Unfortunately, if were to do so for America, they would have to conclude that it’s anything but.
The fact that the Department of Veterans Affairs is plagued with problems is hardly controversial, but department employee Anthony Salazar uncovered grave misconduct at the Los Angeles VA office he worked at. While going over department records, Salazar learned that not only had his branch lost a staggering 30 vehicles out of 88 it owned, but that employees misused credit cards extended to the office as part of their jobs.
Disgusted at this waste and irresponsibility, Salazar took it upon himself to report the abuses to his superiors, but instead of commending him for coming forward with this information, they fired him instead.

This is so wrong! VA needs to clean house and send the perpetrators to prison! This is such c**p! This type of fraud, waste, and abuse is exactly why our brave vets aren’t getting the medical care they need! The auto theft and credit card fr ad ud is bad enough, but to keep an employee on that beat a patient to death? So he can kill more people while he’s waiting for the judicial system to work? That is BS! I would fire the whole bunch!
It’s. Time. To. Clean house
Trump needs to get rid of these civil servant “Government cannot fire” clauses so these so-called workers can shown the door and be made to pay restitution . Whistleblowers should get bonuses not be fired when they see flagrant abuses like these. Trump needs to drain this swamp along with the others.
Where is the law these people in charge should be fired this is more like Clinton is in charge
Sounds about right, should we expect it to be any different
My step-dad goes to them in Biloxi. That is totally uncalled for.
You gotta wonder!
… the government is fishy… when I was a civil service painter… a co-worker climbed into the ceiling… over the women’s room… poked a hole in tiles to… peep… we were painting in the Office of Special Investigations (OSI)… he was seen and caught… never fired… just had his employment not renewed next time it came up… no justice for gov workers
Big Government programs don’t solve
Problems , they create them !
… You are correct sir.. a whistleblower cannot be fired if the issue he/she is talking about deals with safety… I know, I was not fired for what I brought up….
