On Dec. 31, 2014 Utah began the process to retake 31.2 million acres of its own land previously under the control of the federal government. Utah consists of 54.3 million acres, so Washington was controlling more than 65% the state.
The “Transfer of Public Lands Act”, signed by Utah Gov. Gary Herbert in 2012, is an unprecedented move that directly challenges the authority of the federal government.
Now, since the reclaim has taken place, Utah is gearing up to fight the feds.
MOVE ON TO PAGE 2:
I think they will be really sorry in just a few years.
I applaud Utah. Unless it is a military base, there should be no Federal land. I am surprised it has not been addressed earlier on Cons$#%&!@*utional grounds.
Just curious, Susan Haig why you think they will be sorry in a few years?
I’m glad to see this happen. The Feds have their hands in too many things and they are getting bigger than their breeches. Getting sick of how much they are trying to control everything. It was never meant to be that way.
Why did they have all that land in the first place.
$#%&!@*backwards
Come on Wyoming, DO THE SAME!!!!!!!
That’s the last trick they have in gun control, if we can’t BAN guns we will buy up ALL the land so they have nowhere to shoot.< So thinks the Govt.. And other states better wake up. This is a pic of all the land the Feds own....
No taxes collected off this land either. They need to stop!!!!!
Good for those Indians !!!!
