On Dec. 31, 2014 Utah began the process to retake 31.2 million acres of its own land previously under the control of the federal government. Utah consists of 54.3 million acres, so Washington was controlling more than 65% the state.
The “Transfer of Public Lands Act”, signed by Utah Gov. Gary Herbert in 2012, is an unprecedented move that directly challenges the authority of the federal government.
Now, since the reclaim has taken place, Utah is gearing up to fight the feds.
MOVE ON TO PAGE 2:
These idiots think oil purchased from other countries is cleaner and causes less pollution.
A person that takes the side of a treasonous govt calling someone else a traitor. At least us traitors are in good company
Josh please post link where this site claims no one died at Sandy Hook.
Please ignore Derrel. He is clueless. But it doesn’t make your made up point correct. I never believe FB claims when ppl don’t site them.
And just FYI there was a FBI report that. Stated 0 murders occurred in Sandy Hook in 2012. Now they are say that bc this event happened in Dec that the report was an error. But the report did exist.
“When will the legislature realize that the public does not want to see the Wasatch Mountains barricaded with ‘No Tresp$#%&!@*ing’ signs, the Book Cliffs lost to tar sand strip mines or Arches National Park ringed with oil and gas development?” Does anyone truly believe that the State would go this route? Of course not! Plus we’re already barricaded with Federal “no tresp$#%&!@*ing” signs! SUWA claims it’s to preserve the land for future generations – well they’ve said that for generations and my little family still can’t go into these millions of acres and enjoy its beauty! Let the people manage the lands. We’ve been raised to be responsible recreationalists – we pick up our trash and leave it better than when we got there.
Re-take? Didn’t U S own it before Utah existed?
The Cons$#%&!@*ution is very clear. The federal government is allowed 10 square miles for a capital and areas “for the erection of forts, magazines, $#%&!@*nals, dockyards, and other needful buildings.” Under the 10th Amendment, powers not given to the federal government are retained by the States. There is no power to hold vast tracts of unimproved land. It belongs to Utah and the people who reside there!
Where have you people been, the fed sells mining rights on fed land all the time, it’s big biz for them.
And God took him up in the mountain and told him all the land as far as he could see…would be his and his untilll the end of time. For generations they accepted the endless sand desert. Then one day they discovered the largest oilfield on earth,as his eyes were opened…
