The Energizer Bunny has nothing on the University of California, Irvine’s nanobattery, an accidental discovery with enormous potential. This wonder battery can join the glorious ranks of accidental discoveries like champagne, viagra and popcycles, each having a positive place in the world today.
Researchers at UCI inadvertently created a long lasting battery with long lasting potential. This nonobattery can at a conservative number keep a laptop going for 400 hundred years. The average laptop battery is good for roughly 1000 charges, but will diminish over two years time. The UCI nanobattery “endured 200,000 charge cycles” for the length of three months and was “effectively still brand new” when they were done experimenting.
Although this battery is years away from having commercial use, the future looks bright, for centuries, with this nanobattery energizing it. The future of USB ports and “charging bricks” looks a bleak as the science progresses on this new battery.

No truth there
That flies in the face of the laws of entropy
He’ll have hillary kill them
Can I have two of those in AA’s for my wireless controller? Thanks.
This has been violated on California campuses by professors many many times, especially at Berkley in the AG dept.
Uh,,, no…
It does not provide endless energy, it still has to be charged. It just last longer, and hold a better charge. Do you remember when cell phones first came out and you had to charge them daily? Now they have batteries that hold a charge for several days. Same thing, on a bigger scale. Still have to make the energy to charge them.
Forever? That’s like the limited lifetime warranty. It’s covered until it breaks.
Still lots of money to be made since it has to be recharged. They will cost a lot more than normal rechargeable batteries because they last so much longer though, but they still have to be charge like normal rechargeable batteries. You pay around $125 for a car battery that might last 2-3 years. I imagine they will have a car battery that will last the life of the care for $600 to $800. Your car will still have to keep it charged, but you won’t have to worry about replacing it.
B******t,how stupid can someone be to believe this.
