Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said in an interview with Climate One founder Greg Dalton that the Earth is already overburdened with people and that we should look at depopulating the planet.
“There is pressure in the system to go toward that; we can definitely change those, right? We can definitely change those numbers,” Figueres stated.
“Really, we should make every effort to change those numbers because we are already, today, already exceeding the planet’s planetary carrying capacity,” she said.

Well, go first
Sadly this is statement is well crazy. Scientifically for the world to keep surviving the statement is true. I’m not saying we should though don’t get me wrong. Look at it this way. 70% of the worlds oxygen comes from the oceans. The world dumps more trash into the ocean than anywhere else. If our ocean goes, so do we. Most of the country’s are at war, very serious droughts, destroyed by natural disasters or not good enough to harvest crops. The more people we put on earth the more it takes in everything we need. Which in reaction takes more away from the places we get our goods from. Eventually the crops and the animals we get our food from will not be able to keep up. For the world to get a reset we would have to cut back in population to slow the planets growth down. Allowing for earth to breath. Of course the only way this would happen is another world war or nuclear fallout.
We should start with all UN officials.
You go first.
