While Russian warships launch cruise missiles in support of its military strike in Syria, it does so with a notable absence in the region. The U.S. Navy has no aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf for the first time since 2007.
According to military officials, the USS Theodore Roosevelt and it’s complement of approximately 5,000 service members and 65 combat planes, has departed to “undergo maintenance.” Whatever the stated rationale, this measure is the result of President Obama’s and Democrat’s mandatory military budget cuts.

That’s our fearless traitor Obama – & our gutless wonders of Congress & Senate for allowing this charade continue!!
Oh did you forget that we were just handed an airforce base in Turkey? It seems like a good time to do the maintenance that has been put aside so we could bomb ISIS now that the airforce has a land base. Which, as all of you couch soldiers know is much more powerful than an aircraft carrier. Yes, let Putin send his military into Syria, we will watch and fight from our allies bases in the region. Oh did it skip your minds that we have other bases to operate from. So quick to smack down the POTUS. Do you really think the Pentagon isn’t advising him? You folks Crack me up with your vast know ledge of world politics and military movements.
Oh never mind that Turkey just gave us an airport to run our operations from. Yea, probably a good time to do the maintenance before it gets too far behind. Seems like the Pentagon is advising the POTUS to be prudent with our aircraft carrier fleet. Get the maintenance while we can. I find it so amusing to read all these comments from the couch commander’s in America. This is why we have a pentagon, these guys know what they are doing. Obama listens very closely to what they advise. Like a good leader should.
hmmmm, imagine that, cowardice in the face of the enemy
good idea,
There’s a giant absent in the WH. OBUMA.
it is called OPERATION STAND DOWN======
No retreat has been sounded. We are flying missions out of Turkey these days. The need for a carrier in the region is just not there. Give the guys some rest and the ship some much needed maintenance in the meantime.
Russia can have the “job”, as they are mostly propping up Assad. Let Russia be involved in nation building. We have no business doing that.
And yes, I place a great deal of the strife in the ME on Bush. Knocking out Saddam left a huge power vacuum and upset the balance in the region.
Lastly, please explain how Obama is an “illegal squatter”.
BHO=traitor not a p***y
