While Russian warships launch cruise missiles in support of its military strike in Syria, it does so with a notable absence in the region. The U.S. Navy has no aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf for the first time since 2007.
According to military officials, the USS Theodore Roosevelt and it’s complement of approximately 5,000 service members and 65 combat planes, has departed to “undergo maintenance.” Whatever the stated rationale, this measure is the result of President Obama’s and Democrat’s mandatory military budget cuts.

Interesting picture, but that’s not an aircraft carrier. It’s an amphibious assault ship. At least get an aircraft carrier picture to use.
Y RUSSIA DO NOT NEED OBAMA
We have several aircraft carriers, but the U.S. only having one, stationed in the Persian Gulf, speaks volumes to our power in that region. Now, he pulls it……… ? Seems to me, he doesn’t want to risk losing it. We have absolutely no boots on the ground there either.
There are ten Nimitz aircraft carriers. The US Navy have ten nuclear carriers that carry 48 FA-18s plus anti submarine helicopters. Even after the USS Enterprise getting decommissioned, it still has more carriers than the rest of the world combined.
Well look at all the little admirals that know everything there is to know about U.S. Carrier Battle Group strategic deployment.
We learned from pearl harbor to never group your large ships together. Rt now 5 of our nuke carriers are anchored next to each other in norfolk.
Let the new superpower handle it.

You say this like it would be a bad idea. Why not let continents deal with their own problems for better or worse?
