While Russian warships launch cruise missiles in support of its military strike in Syria, it does so with a notable absence in the region. The U.S. Navy has no aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf for the first time since 2007.
According to military officials, the USS Theodore Roosevelt and it’s complement of approximately 5,000 service members and 65 combat planes, has departed to “undergo maintenance.” Whatever the stated rationale, this measure is the result of President Obama’s and Democrat’s mandatory military budget cuts.

Wtf…Pos.
Don, that goes on the assumption that it is being replaced.
Assad has killed 5x as many civilians in Syria as ISIS has killed in Syria/Iraq/Libya
We still out spend the next 10 closest countries. Wtf are you talking about?
Remember the USS Cole?
What? Is Obama supposed to attack Russian troops? Is Russia going after our carrier groups?
Anyone with a shred of military background knew we didn’t do ANYTHING in Syria. One drone strike month is just to make believe obama is doing something. 24 hours of bombing, Russia has destroy almost all heavy vehicles, bases and ammo dumps of ISIS. Which we could have done just as quickly. How many Syrian’s a re dead over the 5 years we did nothing? 400k? Hmm. Yeah. And who is the commander in chief? Oh BTW….his f**e mission funneled just as much money as real ones. So….
That is a helo carrier. Boxer or Bella Wood.
I seem to remember a couple of years ago when the government was shut down because Republican cry babies couldn’t get their way about the budget, a deal was struck that if budget couldn’t be reached mandatory cuts would be instituted, including military expenditures which included naval expenditures. Dry up cry babies you caused this.
So we run away?
