In a fitting topic for the income tax filing deadline, Tucker Carlson roasted a California politics professor on Tucker Carlson Tonight last evening for claiming wealthy Americans are not paying their “fair share” in income taxes.
Caroline Heldman, an assistant professor of politics at Occidental College in Los Angeles, argued for radically hiking taxes on taxpayers in the top one percent of income, those earning $470,000 and higher.
She based her argument in part on the fact that wealthy individuals paid as much as 90 percent in taxes during the presidencies of Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy.
Find out how Carlson countered her argument and revealed her for the socialist ideologue she is on the next page.
What a loon!
I’m not in the top 1% either but taxing the very wealthy 80% just because they are wealthy is nuts. Close some tax loopholes and the top 1% will then pay their fair share fairly.
Shirley Hultquist, so agree with eliminating the inheritance tax. It’s a double tax.
Tucker is one of my heroes. Keep blasting liberals Tiucker.
Talk about out of touch with reality. But she a so called professor from California. It shows. Taxing the rich more means this; middle income jobs gone, No increase to very small increase of products made, No new hires, No new industry, No incentive to create new businesses. What she is suggesting for just the top 1 percent does not bring on that kind of money building infrastructure, Schools, free education for colleges. You can tell that the elevator does not make it to the top floor with this so called professor.
I bet she writes off those charitable donations.
The half of Americans who pay no taxes think the other half doesn’t pay its fair share.
She is an idiot
Never gets old.
Ok…so punish the wealthy….that sounds smart.
