In a fitting topic for the income tax filing deadline, Tucker Carlson roasted a California politics professor on Tucker Carlson Tonight last evening for claiming wealthy Americans are not paying their “fair share” in income taxes.
Caroline Heldman, an assistant professor of politics at Occidental College in Los Angeles, argued for radically hiking taxes on taxpayers in the top one percent of income, those earning $470,000 and higher.
She based her argument in part on the fact that wealthy individuals paid as much as 90 percent in taxes during the presidencies of Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy.
Find out how Carlson countered her argument and revealed her for the socialist ideologue she is on the next page.
She’s not in the top 1%? Suuuuure. Her parents are wealthy. I’m sure she gets some sweet cash and gifts “under the table” and she talks about the rich hiding their wealth. She must be doing that very well to stay below that threshold
And I’m sure if she ever gets to the top one percent, her tax thinking will change dramatically.
To be so educated she certainly is dumb on economics.
There goes the reason this country looks like it does clueless and a total moron teaching people in college
She is a professor so don’t get your hopes up that she has any smarts if look around you can see not to many are very smart they just want to push their agenda and that’s all
Don’t confuse her with facts.. she can’t handle it.
Blooming idiot
Dumb$#%&!@*!!
So funny, as no-one talks about total tax revenue & how to maximize it, as that’s what drives the ability to spend money on more programs & taxing the top – 1% at 83% would have the opposite affect.. It would drive the wealthy to move outside the US & total tax revenue would fall.. As Venezuela how it’s working out for them.. Such a silly discussion.. This would also kill small business..
It’s not fair, it’s not fair, it’s not fair, but no democrat/socialist finishes the sentence, “it’s not fair that they have more than ME!” Otherwise they would recognize “fair” is everyone having the exact same tax and no tax deductions.
