The Transport Security Administration (TSA) has been using body scanners to peer into air passengers’ every nook and cranny for years. Nobody likes the costly, invasive systems and now the TSA is facing a legal challenge over their use.
The surprising part is the reason behind the suit by three limited-government, civil-liberties organizations:
I understand – but what if a terrorist is not scanned???
Because they are to busy letting them through the borders.
And these intrusive body scanners have detected how many potential terrorists?
I flat don’t trust anything anymore…They said the airlines was going to be bailed out, then they just drove the consumer interest up and down. Then cameras was installed everywhere, and now retina scanners. I THINK this is a much bigger trend then we can all understand…and the same effects are reproduced in other settings throughout our daily activities.
Would you like flying better if a few planes were blown up?
Sooooooo, humiliating and violating!
Just let everyone carry a weapon and that will solve the problem of hijacking. Not one TSA agent had caught a terrorist. Not one
Of course, terrorists, man or woman aren’t going to set themselves up by going through the scanners if they are hiding something!!! But will, if the scanners are shut down!!
C**p there goes my free x-rays and rectal exams. WTF?
Went through one of these and did not feel that it took any rights away from me, lets get this straight people flying is not a right its a privilege. If you have had a full pat down by a TSA then the scan is no worse. Lets get real and not worry about this! It makes sure no weapons get through what better way to fly!
