We’ve come a long way from the days when presidents road around in convertibles so they could wave to crowds during parades. That period ended with the tragic assassination of President Kennedy. The attempted assassination of President Reagan once again highlighted the vulnerability a president experiences when he steps out in public. So there is a constant tension between two needs — to have the president visible to the people, while at the same time ensuring his safety.
It’s not just a problem for public officials. Wealthy business magnates such as Donald Trump employ private security forces for personal protection. But when someone becomes president, that responsibility is turned over to the Secret Service.
Donald Trump’s security situation is an unusual one, as outlined on page two.
Who can help trust Democrat’s? Republicans? Citizens ? I think he is smart until things get settled …… many on the inside would like him dead he will rock their crooked world
Well that idiot needs to shut up! President Trump better keep his own security because the bastards are out to kill him.
Better the ones you know than the ones you don’t,,,
GOOD–I DO NOT BLAME HIM AT ALL—–HE HAS BEEN TREATED HORRIBLE——
Amen
Stop speculating and trying to cause trouble. It’s none of your business, about his security decisions.
Its safer than the corrupt gov’t protection. Trump is not a stupid man
Let’s not forget the problems this Administration has had with this incompetent Secret Service. They have allowed Intruders to scale the fence and enter the White House. They have allegedly been found to be asleep or drunk on the job , they have lost guns, computers, their identification cards and cars. If I was Trump , I would want my own security team also.
Very smart move!!!
Great idea. Find out the loyalty of the others.
Personally, I think they will be thrilled to get
Rid of Obama and wifey!
