Trial has concluded with a not-guilty verdict for Officer Craig Taylor, the cop that tasered and then shot multiple bean bag rounds fired from a shotgun that killed John Wrana Jr., who was only days away from celebrating his 96th birthday as one of our oldest living World War 2 veterans.
Taylor was charged with felony reckless conduct, although he should have been be tried for murder. When excessive force becomes this blatant we are outside of the bounds of considering that the officer was operating within police authority.

Horrific!
lock him up for life and the ones with him
thats sad, seems in this instance the taser was enough, he wasnt a teenager high on anything, but a 95 year old man.
The cop was black, the victim was white…..clearly a case of racism and a hate crime if I ever saw one…..
Ya know, I like your page, but you’re discrediting yourself and your page with short sighted (stupid) comments like this!
I’m a retired (well trained) cop. I won’t go into all the circumstances and possibilities of edged weapons attacks, but I’ll tell you that the use of force was very reasonable.
In fact Deadly Force would usually be the prescribed level for that occasion.
So sad
Is this how all veterans are to be treated in the future? DO all retiremet/assisted living facilities allow their residents to have a ttheir disposal to be ARMED WITH A KNIFE? What kind of a knife was this, if there was actually any such “weapon’ in this man’s room? It all smells so BAD I cannot believe it.
Yes. A biased video. Assumption of the reporting given is the cops are lying. If they were, shame on them. Opinion is not evidence however and I doubt if police would use extreme force if not given a reason by a perpetrator. They are not given a briefing on the condition of a suspect prior to engaging him or her.
Wrong—so wrong.
I agree bob
