Trial has concluded with a not-guilty verdict for Officer Craig Taylor, the cop that tasered and then shot multiple bean bag rounds fired from a shotgun that killed John Wrana Jr., who was only days away from celebrating his 96th birthday as one of our oldest living World War 2 veterans.
Taylor was charged with felony reckless conduct, although he should have been be tried for murder. When excessive force becomes this blatant we are outside of the bounds of considering that the officer was operating within police authority.

Sorry this time Mr Battaglini. I think he was only doing his job. A knife is still a weapon. Maybe a bad choice in ammunition, but still his kob to protect another from a knife attach.

I disagree Ed. We have swat teams and negotiators for Progressives, why not for veterans who may, at this great age, be suffering form dementia and need to be handled with a little tact?

I do not agree w/the verdict!
If I was intent on shooting him, I would have shot the weapon from his hand. Even if he ended up with a broken hand, well that’s better than killing him. As a cop though you never approach any armed assailant until they are disarmed if at all possible.
