Trial has concluded with a not-guilty verdict for Officer Craig Taylor, the cop that tasered and then shot multiple bean bag rounds fired from a shotgun that killed John Wrana Jr., who was only days away from celebrating his 96th birthday as one of our oldest living World War 2 veterans.
Taylor was charged with felony reckless conduct, although he should have been be tried for murder. When excessive force becomes this blatant we are outside of the bounds of considering that the officer was operating within police authority.

The cop used excessive force on this old man, why was he so scared, the man was sick.
I would like to know why the people in the home the man was in could not handle it on their own. Should not have called police anyway.
I, too, believe this was excessive force, but it only proves what I’ve said before on here: A cop makes a quick decision that can take a judge a lot more time to determine if the cop was right or wrong.
True. I hate all the bad publicity on cops, but there are definitely incidences where they use too much unnecessary force.
I agree 100%! If you can’t get a knife away from a 95 year old man you have no business carrying any gun or a badge. You are a disgrace to law enforcement. I said the same thing about officers shooting the 17 year old girl after the one officer had her on the floor. He should have searched when he had her down and he did NOT! Lately we’re seeing some really poorly trained law enforcement officers and I don’t like what I’m seeing. I’m 5′ 7″ and weigh 215 pounds and I’ve taken down guys who were 6′ 5″ and weighed over 250 pounds. I’ve taken many knives from suspects who were extremely physical and strong. I’ve taken down people who were bi-polar, who had been high balling, and on other drugs and I just don’t understand killing these people. I’ve used choke holds on 17 and 18 year old suspects and switched to a sleeper hold when I realized I was totally cutting off their airway. Law enforcement agencies need to spend more time training officers in the use of certain martial arts techniques! This is becoming a fact. START TRAINING YOUR PERSONNEL and if they can’t do these things take their badge and gun and they need to find another line of work. I’m 70 years old and I don’t like all of the stupid c**p I’m seeing and hearing and it’s been on the increase due to poor training and incompetence!
i hope they hand his ass
Police state is here.
Courts protect the murders (police) the death panels have arrived. Call police at your own risk!
So sad
Everywhere good is in conflict with bad. I am pro Law but I think they are going to have to do a better job of ridding themselves of rotten eggs. They exist to protect the public and could be very close to losing their purpose and that would be very harmful to us all.
