Trial has concluded with a not-guilty verdict for Officer Craig Taylor, the cop that tasered and then shot multiple bean bag rounds fired from a shotgun that killed John Wrana Jr., who was only days away from celebrating his 96th birthday as one of our oldest living World War 2 veterans.
Taylor was charged with felony reckless conduct, although he should have been be tried for murder. When excessive force becomes this blatant we are outside of the bounds of considering that the officer was operating within police authority.

I’m not one for police”Ing but the knife was overhead while the man was threatening harm (and the officer shot him with, what he thought to be “nonlethal” rounds ignorantly) in which the subdued man refused medical treatment for four hours in which he eventually succumbed to his warranted injuries.
A 95 it is disgraceful of an act of gestapo acts being a coward of the officers.
Cop haters need to sign up as a cop and show us how good they can do it,, OR, shut the shell up.
A Trial is appropriate. What the outcome of the trial is will be more telling.
They would have been justified to shoot him with real bullets. Court made right decision and old man should have put knife down!
How sickening.
QUIT BEATING UP ON COPS. Bet you wouldn’t last one DAY as a cop.
it is a clear abuse of power
Yes, the bar is set very low for cops, and it seems to be dropping all the time. Sad……
Very Sad and should not have happened. The charge against the police officer who was found “not guilty” would seem to have been incomplete. There should certainly be some disciplinary action and not just against the officer (cowboy) who wilde the shot gun but also the others who were present. Otherwise, what is the lesson learned which should be the take away from this tragic incident.
