Laurel Hubbard, a transgender athlete from New Zealand, made sports history by winning a women’s weightlifting competition in Australia on March 19.
The 39-year old (born a male) won the women’s over 90 kilogram (kg) division at the Australian International competition in Melbourne. In the process Hubbard set four unofficial national records by lifting a combined total of 268 kg. That performance bested silver medalist Iuniarra Sipaia of Somoa by 19 kg.
Learn more about what Hubbard plans to do in future international events and what it could mean for increased transgender competition in women’s sports. It’s on the next page.
A woman did not win
Hahahahaha…..
A man won the women’s competition.
That is a man who is being allowed to compete with women in weightlifting.
Ridiculous
So a man won woman of the year & now a man won the weight lifting title. I guess a woman can do anything a man can do as long as its not against a man then its 2nd place. The irony in this is amusing. Pretty soon there won’t be any women sports. Just men not good enough to compete with men “identifying” as women. Allen Iverson WNBA MVP 2018. Lol
Wrong wrong wrong wrong !!!!!!!!!!
Not right by any stretch.
yep definitely a woman once you decide that’s the case…
Transgirly is mental !
