Is America on the verge of a major crisis? Some believe so, and others believe that we are already in that crisis it just hasn’t yet reached a level of chaos that would normally associate with a “major crisis.” But when it happens and people begin to panic, what’s the best way to prepare? If the story printed by USA Today about Venezuela is any indicator, you might want to take notes.
According to items mentioned USA Today article on the next page, stores in Venezuela no longer carry milk, corn meal, wheat flour, pasta, rice, milk, eggs, sugar, coffee, chicken, mayonnaise, margarine, cooking oil and beef. And when they do carry it or you’re lucky enough to find it, it costs more than a fourth of their monthly minimum wage.
While culture might have something to do with the desired foods during crisis, it’s still a good idea to note what people are looking to buy over there.
