In 2016, while running for the presidency and trying to secure the Democrat nomination, Hillary Clinton made one of the largest political blunders of her life. In assessing the mood of the electorate, she assumed that West Virginia, which has a huge number of registered Democrat voters (but whom also espouse conservative ideology) would be more interested in shutting down the lucrative coal mining business. The coal business in West Virginia is a large employer in a state that is relatively small in populace, but which depends on the jobs produced by that industry. In a bad read of the population, she said the following:
“We are going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.”
Writer, Abraham Stoker, better known as Bram, was a man who cherished his electricity. Having been a very early advocate of this form of energy, the Irish author would often marvel at its intricacies and the secrecy of its inner workings.
“There are things done today in electrical science which would have been deemed unholy by the very man who discovered electricity, who would themselves not so long before been burned as wizards.”
Perhaps that’s exactly what the Democrats want of us evil conservatives…a good, old-fashioned burning at the stake! The author of one of the most influential novels of his time, Dracula, was spot on with how the Left currently views anyone who believes that coal-burning plants provide wondrous opportunities for mankind as an Earth-destroying heretic, worthy of a good torch!
