And to explain my comment, wanting to “bring back” people from the past or pining away for those days of yesteryear are not how I want to think of as my future. Those people are in the past, they lived their time, it’s my time now to do with how I feel my vote should go. I am not a “reactionary” – someone who wants times to return to how they used to be, I am a progressive thinking man. Use the past to teach how to deal with the future using the tools history has given me. So, no, I don’t want a Thomas Jefferson for today. He would think in broad terms and be of sinister personal morals, no thank you!
