The Moore Manifesto: “Abolish 2nd Amendment for New 28th Amendment!”

We’re getting toward the end of the Moore manifesto now, but the idiocy doesn’t abate.

• To own and operate a gun one must obtain a license (like one does to operate a car). To get a license you have to complete a gun training and safety course and pass a thorough background check.
• As nearly half of all gun deaths are suicides, mental health care must become a top national health priority and must be properly funded. And by making it more difficult to purchase a gun – and requiring its storage outside the home – easy access during a suicidal moment is denied.
• Current restrictions placed on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), due to successful lobbying by the NRA, have prohibited them from studying the gun violence epidemic in the US. These rules need to be removed and the funding restored. Science will then be free to find out why we are ALONE among nations in killing each other at such a massive rate (hint: It’s not just the guns – it’s us as Americans).

Okay, first off, we already have licensing, gun training and safety courses, and thorough background checks.  Not sure why any of this is included.  As a side note, I might add that licensing, gun training, safety courses and background checks did not…I repeat…did not alert authorities that this loony-bin Leftist Trump-hater was about to commit mass murder.  So, unless we’re just padding the manifesto, we might as well skip this asinine exercise in lip service to the minority hecklers.

The next point is equally comical, evoking recollections of Lady Gaga arguing that the suicide rates of transgenders are 45% and therefore should be allowed into the military where they will have ready access to weapons of choice.  If a person is truly intent on killing him/herself, isn’t it a bit disingenuous to think that if a person cannot get their hands on a gun, they can…say…walk down to the local river and leap off the bridge, or go to the local hardware store and purchase a bunch of razor blades?  One statistic has nothing to do with another cause and effect.  That’s like saying, “People are dying too young!  Let’s ban cliff-diving!”

This also might be a bit of a shock for you Lefties, but the United Nations has rated the top countries in terms of murder rate and SHOCK, SHOCK!  The US has 91 countries ahead of it, including Canada, Mexico, Cuba and El Salvador (Leftist havens, all).  In fact, nearly the entire continent of Africa tops that list.  So, the next time you want to act as if the US is the home of murder, you might want to refer to this list and then talk to some of your Leftist friends in Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City and Baltimore about why the murder rates are so high among gang members in the inner cities.
