The Moore Manifesto: “Abolish 2nd Amendment for New 28th Amendment!”

The next part of the Moore Manifesto are the “arguments” for why this legislation would be necessary:

This amendment would allow states and the federal government to pass laws that would regulate gun ownership in the following manner:

• As over 90% of gun violence is committed by men, in order for a man to purchase a gun, he must first get a waiver from his current wife, plus his most recent ex-wife, or any woman with whom he is currently in a relationship (if he’s gay, he must get the waiver from his male spouse/partner). This law has greatly reduced most spousal/domestic gun murders in Canada.

I will not address the moronic “men commit all the gun violence” argument, because well…of course they do.  But I do have a question:  Is Moore saying that gay men are NOT men.  The argument he’s making is that men, by virtue of the fact that they were born male, are not “qualified” to make a purchase of a firearm on their own because they are not of…what?  Sound mind?  Therefore, if that’s the case, and a WOMAN is then only eminently qualified to make such a decision on behalf of her dimwit husband, boyfriend and so forth, doesn’t that mean that gay men can NEVER make such a purchase?

Honestly.  If men do not possess the mental capacity to make a decision, but Moore is advocating that gay men who are partners of other men who wish to buy a weapon ARE capable, is he then, by extension, stating that some gay men are not men?  Must we designate or make a specific identity category for gay men now?

Here’s my clarification:  “If the dominant male partner in a gay relationship (hereafter referred to as “The Man”) wishes to purchase a gun, he must first be given the all-clear by his submissive male partner in a gay relationship (hereafter referred to as “The Woman” or in some other alternate lifestyles as “My B***h”) then, and only then, should the sale of said firearm be allowed.”

And since when does a 2.9% reduction in domestic gun violence in Canada constitute a “greatly reduced” occurrence?  Hell, I’d even settle for a 10% reduction.  But 2.9%?
