The Moore Manifesto: “Abolish 2nd Amendment for New 28th Amendment!”

The next part of the Moore manifesto is the body of the work wherein he makes arguments for what he believes is the right of all US citizens:

I, Michael Moore, along with all who support an end to this epidemic of gun violence, propose a new Amendment to our Constitution that repeals the ancient and outdated 2nd Amendment (which was written before bullets and revolvers were even invented), and replaces it with a new 28th Amendment that guarantees States can have State militias (a.k.a. State National Guards which are made up of citizen-soldiers who are called upon in times of natural disasters or other State emergencies), allows individuals to use guns for sport and gathering food, and guarantees everyone the right to be free of, and protected from, gun violence (i.e., the public’s safety comes ahead of an individual’s right to own and fire a gun).

Removing the obvious fact that this generic Leftist double-speak completely contradicts itself (“Individuals have the right to own a weapon, but they don’t have the right to own a weapon!?”), Moore makes the argument that people have a “right to be free of, and protected from, gun violence.”

Really?  A right?  That’s interesting.  So, if people have a “right” to be free from gun violence, why not go one step further?  Why not also add to this list the “right” to be free from Islamic terrorist bombs, or Female Genital Mutilation, or Taharrush (the rape game), or honor killings and beheadings?  How about the “right” to be free from antifa thugs beating your head in with a metal pipe (like in Berkeley)?  Heck, why not the “right” to be free from Communist manifestos created by second-rate hack filmmakers?  Might I even suggest a “right” to be free from the seditious mouth of Maxine Waters?  That’d be a big hit in California.

There is a reason why the Founding Fathers didn’t say, “life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and gun violence.”  It’s because they, unlike you, were deep thinkers and looked beyond the here and now, practicing rather to enlarge the scope of their vision and predict what idiots like you would do in a future surrounded by radical Leftist totalitarian lunacy.

And this business of “ancient” laws being attributed to the 2nd Amendment?  It wasn’t 3,000 years ago, in case you haven’t noticed, Mr. Moore.  As I pointed out in another piece on guns, in the year 1791 when the 2nd Amendment was written, the Girandoni .22 caliber Air Rifle was an assault weapon used to pump 30 shots out in the span of on and a half minutes.  That may not sound deadly to you in this day and age, but believe it or not, it was one of the most innovative and dangerous weapons at the time, being a predecessor of the Gatling Gun.  So, stop with the whole “ancient” argument.  Bone up and read your history.
