In America in 2016, we live in a time and culture of safe spaces, participation trophies, and gender-neutrality. One of the main reasons — if not the main reason — that Donald Trump has been so successful is that he has eschewed the constraints of political correctness that have permeated every aspect of our society.
Nowadays, we teach our children that everybody is a winner and instill in them the belief that they are to be rewarded just for showing up. While nobody wants to upset children and discourage them, this tactic simply holds up mediocrity as a virtue and teaches them to coast through life on the merits of others.
This reveals the core reason why socialism has never worked. When a society encourages everyone to be mediocre and offers no incentive for innovation and leadership, it stands no chance of success.

If they are ATTEMPTING to ‘make all students feel equal’ then shouldn’t they be letting all students pass and walk the stage? When does it stop?
I was just telling my 21 y/o the other day that she had been “indoctrinated” by her Texas school. At her Jr. High (14 y/o’s) are not allowed to “walk home.” (Yet, I have had some of the more responsible kids babysit for me since they were 11. My kids knew what those trophies meant and never gave at a rat about them. They should have called a boycott and staged their own — if not an additional –ceremony. The NHS should have stepped in and hired attorneys (BTW, my kids were not HS). The day your 11 y/o 6th grader has to share a locker room with the 15 y/o trans “girl,” penis wagging
