In America in 2016, we live in a time and culture of safe spaces, participation trophies, and gender-neutrality. One of the main reasons — if not the main reason — that Donald Trump has been so successful is that he has eschewed the constraints of political correctness that have permeated every aspect of our society.
Nowadays, we teach our children that everybody is a winner and instill in them the belief that they are to be rewarded just for showing up. While nobody wants to upset children and discourage them, this tactic simply holds up mediocrity as a virtue and teaches them to coast through life on the merits of others.
This reveals the core reason why socialism has never worked. When a society encourages everyone to be mediocre and offers no incentive for innovation and leadership, it stands no chance of success.
In the left’s latest assault in its War on Winning, a Texas school has banned honor students from wearing ribbons celebrating their achievements at graduation this year. To read more, and see what some of these hardworking students had to say, continue on the next page:

If it offense them tuff luck.life go on . quite pushing for control.
The whole idea behind this is to take all incentive away from the ones who want to excell and equilize all students. Lets just hope that all the young people will not fall into this crack and say “what the hell it don’t do any good to try we wont get no credit for it anyway”.
Congrats to all NHS
This is purer BS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The touchy/feely PC CROWD at it again. ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!!! FIGHT BACK PARENTS…..
Vote these HYPOCRITS out of office.
I have been complaining about this for years. Last year our school had 41 valedictorians. This year 51. I believe this goes back to all this self esteem psycho babble. This is being done so no one can achieve more than anyone else. I am angry that students who worked hard, and achieved excellent grades are not honored. So why work hard could be the coming attitude. We have to get rid of the Dept. of Education. It didn’t used to be like this
