In America in 2016, we live in a time and culture of safe spaces, participation trophies, and gender-neutrality. One of the main reasons — if not the main reason — that Donald Trump has been so successful is that he has eschewed the constraints of political correctness that have permeated every aspect of our society.
Nowadays, we teach our children that everybody is a winner and instill in them the belief that they are to be rewarded just for showing up. While nobody wants to upset children and discourage them, this tactic simply holds up mediocrity as a virtue and teaches them to coast through life on the merits of others.
This reveals the core reason why socialism has never worked. When a society encourages everyone to be mediocre and offers no incentive for innovation and leadership, it stands no chance of success.
In the left’s latest assault in its War on Winning, a Texas school has banned honor students from wearing ribbons celebrating their achievements at graduation this year. To read more, and see what some of these hardworking students had to say, continue on the next page:
This b******t is getting totally out of hand….
What a waste all are not the same you strive for excellence. the schools graduate dumbed down children. with this inclusiveness
It’s really pathetic how we give kids awards for participation but don’t want the kids who have worked hard and given their all to receive recognition.
Make everyone earn one or they don’t graduate.
Shame on that school administration
No.
Public education. Spreading mediocrity everywhere.
This is crazy. Some kids are good athletes and some students are good scholars. They should be able to wear the symbol of the NHS if they have achieved the scholastic levels so deserved.
P***Y COMMUNISTS
Another example of every kid gets a gold star even if they don’t deserve it!
