Taya Kyle, the wife of the late Chris Kyle, defeated Bruce Piatt using a TrackingPoint rifle. These two events were pretty well timed. What better way to draw interest in a rifle than to give a demonstration with skilled shooters.
Here is a look at the two rifles they are giving away:
M600 SR Squad-Level Precision-Guided 5.56 Service Rifle
Designed to replace the M4A1, the M600 SR is destined to change the face of war. With the RapidLok™ target acquisition system individual soldiers will take down extremist fighters with impunity. Targets are acquired, locked, and eliminated with the pull of the trigger.
M800 DMR Squad-Level Precision-Guided 7.62 (Squad Designated Marksman)
Designed to replace the M110 and M14, the M800 DMR is the nuclear bomb of small arms. The RapidLok™ target acquisition system gives squad-level designated marksmen a truly dominant advantage. The M800 delivers an insurmountable overmatch capability when engaging enemy combatants whether they are nation-states or terrorist groups.
The M600 has an 87% first shot success probability out to 600 yards, giving it forty times the kill rate of other M4A1s. The M800 on the other hand has an 89% kill first shot success probability out to 800 yards, giving it thirty-three times the kill rate of existing M110s and M14s. Pick your poison. This might be a publicity stunt, but if you’re looking to get into the action in the Middle East, it’s not a bad thing to look into.
