Donald Trump is getting tough on sanctuary cities — but he’s not alone in the fight. He has Attorney General Jeff Sessions by his side, and a smattering of Republican governors as well.
This week, Sessions vowed to speed up the deportation process and threatened steep budget cuts for governments that don’t comply.
The leaders of these so-called “sanctuary cities” were quick to respond. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti called the threats “unconstitutional.” New York Mayor Bill de Blasio vowed to fight back, saying “we’ll see them in court.”
But not everyone is fighting the Trump administration’s law enforcement efforts. Texas Governor Greg Abbott is doing more than lending his support. He’s willing to sign legislation that will take the president’s threats even further. And he’ll need to, because one country in Texas is still refusing to comply with orders from either administration.

Just don’t threaten to jail them; JAIL THEM.
Action speaks a hell of a lot louder..Every state should be doing this it’s a damn shame their not.
Don’t threaten, DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can a police person uphold the law when they refuse to enforce them!!!! Sanctuary cities should not get any federal or state funds if they do not obey our laws!!
He’s also one of the ones on my Prayer List! He is a Great Governor! Just like his Predecessoir!
Impeach
Arrest her
I support this Governor!
Just revoke her CLEO and she won’t get a job in law enforcement again… she will either becoming a indigent or compete against a group of people that have not the minimum of a 5th grade education, willing to pack up 15 deep in a one bedroom apt, and willing to work for less than $8 an hour on what is traditionally a $16 an hour job…
Don’t threaten to do it, Just do it.
