Planned Parenthood clinics in Texas are “no longer capable of performing medical services in a professionally competent, safe, legal, and ethical manner,” Texas Health and Human Services said in a letter to the non-profit’s affiliates in the state obtained by the Associated Press.
Top Planned Parenthood docs frankly discuss their dealing in aborted fetuses in the videos, and medical techs are seen picking through the remains of an abortion. CMP alleges they are illegally profiting from the exchange of tissue and violating partial-birth abortion laws.
The decision strips Planned Parenthood of between $3 million and $4 million in Medicaid funds it typically receives each year, reports USA Today. New Hampshire, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama and Utah have also defunded the non-profit– a move the Obama administration has warned violates Medicaid laws regarding access to care.
Senate Democrats have so far blocked efforts to defund Planned Parenthood at the federal level, but House Republicans are investigating Planned Parenthood’s use of taxpayer funds and whether clinic’s are in fact violating partial-birth abortion and fetal tissue laws.
As national demand for abortion is decreasing and Planned Parenthood’s client base is declining, the share of non-abortion services it provides has dropped by more than 50 percent since 2004. Planned Parenthood receives about $500 million federal funds each year.
In a time when the far left have had so many victories, we could use a win. When we see cops being shot daily, this Black Lives Matter nonsense being recognized by the Democrats (even Hillary and Obama), when a fake clock maker and panderer are invited to the White House, when Russia slaps the US publicly, when the US gives Iran billions and the OK to build nukes, when a real live socialist, and a treasonous lying female hack are running for President, its easy to gloss over this defunding of just one state out of 50.
But, it’s more than a small victory. It’s the good ole’ USA’s way of turning its eyes back on our One Nation Under God. Out of all those issues mentioned, to those who believe this nation was built under God, we must assume that the sin of abortion is not something that our Founding Fathers would have made legal. That Divine Providence has watched over America, then Divine Providence can withdraw its hand of that protection, and we may have experienced some of that.
And this is a start. To stop the killing of God’s creation, of small undefendable babies is most important, more important than any of the other issues to Divine Providence. When we can see our way back morally, and defeat the forces of evil that want to see America godless, we will have stopped the insanity that cultural degradation and sin have imputed, and made havoc in all our lives. We have not stopped the killing of the babies, but yes, this is a start. And a huge victory in the war of good vs. evil.
