No more Bible study! Beaumont, Texas’ men and women in blue have been told they can no longer hold a voluntary Bible study during lunch at the police station. After meeting like this for years, with no complaints, the City of Beaumont has demanded that the officers stop.
A pre-suit letter, which is required by the Texas Religious Freedom Restoration Act, is being sent to the city stating that the officers’ religious rights have been infringed upon.
Sargent Burt Moore, who helped found the Faith and Fellowship Bible study, pointed out that the City Council prays before its meetings and the police station will start an event with prayer as well.
He also said that there is a chaplain program which still meets at the station. The study he says has a diverse group of faiths and ethnicities coming together for the study and believes the City is “unfairly targeting us.”

~~~ There is a spirit at work there that may be overwhelming them if they are not living by John 15:5…truly, without constantly abiding with Jesus, we can do zip, nada, nothing!!
~~~ Part of the problem is hugely spiritual…remember Daniel 10, and the angel that was carrying a message to Daniel, and the angel was delayed by a demon for 3 weeks!! And Archangel Michael had to come and rescue the situation!!!
~~~ We must not think we are so sophisticated that we can dismiss these stories as something that only happened eons ago; or was some kind of explanation for …who knows what!! These things really happened, and they still happen!!
~~~ Pray!! These people in Washington cannot do this without our prayers, and we must get down and dirty serious with these spirits!! Jesus and His disciples dealt with demons head on, and so can we…as we follow Scripture and abide with Jesus, and keep our sins confessed!!
