The persons selected to receive the Nobel Peace Prize are often disappointments. In fact, it goes further than that. Many are downright warmongers or mass murderers or terrorists. Some of the choices such as Arafat are so awful that they almost make the hapless Jimmy Carter look good in comparison.
This all dovetails with a point often made here: we live in a era where raw political power and agendas have corrupted every area of our society. Hence, the Peace Prize is just one more tool in the hands of globalists for rewarding those who are exponents of what some might call “The New World Order Agenda.”
Or, if you like your politics a bit simpler, it’s used to reward thugs who would make George Soros happy.
One of the latest nominees, “The White Helmets,” confirms the above analysis.
As if the world couldn’t get any crazier, the committee in charge of nominating prospective recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize has recently nominated a terrorist organization for the award. The White Helmets, the notorious mop-up wing of Nusra (Jobhat al-Nusra or Jobhat Fatah al-Sham) will now be in the running for not only the cash prize that comes with winning the Nobel but also the undeserved and cult-like appreciation of winners as if, in some parallel universe, the award was actually given to people who promote peace.
I already like the author of the above excerpt. Nothing like spelling things out plainly and clearly.
So who are the White Helmets?
White Helmets was founded by James Le Mesurier, an admitted former British army officer and mercenary with the Olive Group, a private contracting organization that is now merged with Blackwater-Academi into Constellis Holdings. Although White Helmets half-heartedly attempts to hide its source of funding, the organization is linked to George Soros through a PR firm named Purpose Inc., a pro-war firm that argues for Western intervention against Assad. The co-founder of Purpose is Jeremy Heimans, who also helped found Avaaz, a “pro-democracy” group connected to Soros’ Open Society Foundation, SEIU, and MoveOn.org.
What do you know? There’s our old “friend” George Soros right in the middle of it all. Wonder who else funds this group? You do.
In a USAID report update in July 2015 it is clearly stated that they have supplied over $ 16m in assistance to the White Helmets.
In addition to Soros and the $16 million, White Helmets is known to receive approximately $23 million dollars from the U.S. State Department via USAID, a figure that was confirmed more recently by Deputy State Department Spokesman Mark Toner when questioned by reporters at a State Department briefing on April 27, 2016.
Since the White Helmets on the short list to get the Peace Prize and some additional money, what is the reason for their selection? Could it be because the group supports western efforts at regime-change?
Raed Saleh, head of White Helmets (aka Syrian Civil Defense) has publicly called for the implementation of a “No-Fly Zone” over Syria by the United Nations Security Council, an act that is tantamount to direct military warfare, an example of which can be seen in the rubble of Libya. Indeed, such a decision would simply be a repeat of the Libyan tragedy.
This Saleh guy who heads up the White Helmets is a dubious character himself. Selected to receive an award in the U.S., he found that he could not do so because his visa had been revoked.
Saleh himself is an interesting case. Content to shower Saleh and his organization with millions of dollars and flattering public relations material, the United States apparently does not trust Saleh enough to allow free access to American soil. In April, 2016 Saleh was set to receive another typical back-slapping award in Washington, D.C. However, Saleh’s visa was canceled and he was forced to go back to Istanbul.
Sent back to where? None other than Turkey.
The White Helmets are no friends of peace. They are a violent group currently being used to further the agenda of destabilizing Syria and toppling Assad, thereby allowing western interests to install a friendly regime. Rather than promoting the peaceful resolution of anything, they are a blunt tool of aggression, promoters of conflicts that could lead to war with Russia. And that would be anything but peaceful.
