Gun free signage has never saved a life, but under Tennessee SB 1736, law abiding citizens are forced to lay down their weapons before entering “gun free” businesses.
Tennessee businesses now have a right to hang a gun-free sign in their windows and disarm law abiding conceal and carry permit holders from entering their business armed, however that is the only benefit they receive from SB 1736, for under this new legislation the business assumes all liability for any injuries that occur on the “posted premises” should a concealed permit holder get injured in an emergency.
Should an injury happen to a concealed permit holder while he or she is running from the business to their car in the midst of an emergency, the business is wholly liable.
Businesses who choose to post “Thou Shalt Not Carry a Gun on the Premises” will bear the responsibility for the many lives they potentially place in harms way due to their political leanings. Relying upon law enforcement with guns to arrive during an emergency may be too late. This may be the business owners right, but those who could have literally saved the day by being allowed to carry their weapon can now hold the business liable should tragedy strike.

Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

Vote Trump
I live here in East TN and businesses who do that suffer gravely from loss of patronage!!! It’s suicide to put that on a door here. The only businesses that survive it are Nightclubs (carry permits and drinking are not allowed anyway) and health organizations.
Wtf,we the people call that-The DEAD ZONE,PLEASE DO NOT ENTER.
I wouldn’t patronize this store.
