“This year, I’m sorry to tell you, the United States Senate is going to be voting on a constitutional amendment to repeal the First Amendment,” Senator Ted Cruz stated at a Family Research Council pastors retreat recently.
He states that 41 Democrats are going to attempt to censor political speech, making it illegal for anyone to speak disparagingly about politicians.
“What it says is that politicians in Washington have unlimited constitutional authority to muzzle each and every one of you if you’re saying things the government finds inconvenient,” Cruz said.
Here we are, the death of our country is at hand. Political leaders are preparing to fully squash dissent – one hallmark of a totalitarian government.
This is so strikingly despotic that one would think it couldn’t be enacted upon average Americans, especially conservatives…at least right now.
This being true one would assume that, just like the NDAA (a law that enables the government to ‘disappear’ you without due process), the intention is to pass this law now and wait to fully enforce it until after our country is engaged in civil war or under martial law.
Of course, they could try to enforce it with the intention to help get the war started. They are so incredibly overt in their anti-American activites now it’s easy to assume that civil war is on their agenda.
I think that’d be the spark to set the fire.
General consensus here seems to be (a) you are happy with the role big money plays in our elections and (b) a great many of you will resort to violence in order to keep it that way. Fascinating.
they are pushing for a war against the people so they can suspend the US Constitution.
A constitutional amendment cannot be repealed without ratification by the various states of the union. The only political speech that should be limited are the alarmist lies like the ones Ted Cruz invariably tells. Who would make such a preposterous statement that Democrats or any American has a chance at repealing the First Amendment to the U. S. Constitution, the bedrock and most sacred tenet of our free Democracy. The press, organized religion and just about everybody else would never stand for it.
Don’t states have to ratify changes proposed to the constitution?i think the senate is over their pay grade on this.
no congress can’t amend the constitution with out a constitutional convention established by the states and no changes without 3/4 of the states ratifling the change.
Bastards!
If the jobs in DC were done correctly without the lying, cheating, stealing and fraud, then there would be now complaints, BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE. SO WHY NOT MAKE THE CONSEQUENCES FOR THOSE ACTIONS MUCH MORE HARSH. THEN MAYBE IT WILL CURB THE FRAUD, especially from EL Fraudo himself
THEY ALL NEED TO GO
It’s too bad for them that when they push the line that far, it’s on!
