San Antonio, TX: government officials announced plans to house illegal immigrants, who they call “residents” rather than “detainees,” at a ‘remodeled’ facility including flatscreen TVs, new clothes and astro-turf sports areas. Does the move to put these children in school suggest the administration really plans to house them here for just 23 days?
Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday will open a remodeled detention center three hours north of the Rio Grande Valley.
The Karnes City center will house women and children who entered the country illegally through the Valley.
The 532-bed facility underwent a massive renovation to house women and children. The center housed only adult immigrants in the past.
Immigrants will be at the facility for an average of 23 days.
The feds said the rooms will be referred to as “suites.” The suites are furnished with bunk beds, play tables for children, flat-screen television sets and landline telephones.
“I will refer to everyone in this facility as a resident. ICE generally refers to people in custody as detainees,” ICE San Antonio Field Office Director Enrique Lucero said.

Well this is the new America. He told u all six years ago how he was going to CHANGE America, and u voted him in again. Unless the election was not fair like it was proven. But now we have to live with it. So injoy our new America, where the illegals have our rights and we have there’s. Just remember they are the new democratic voters of the future. Taxpayers should NOT be paying for illegals to have anything, its the demoncratic party that should be paying for it since they requested their presence in this country. All illegals should be rounded up and put on the lawn of every demoncrat across this country.
