Swedish Fire Torch: A 5 Hour Long Fire From One Log
The Swedish Fire Torch is campfire or stove that is completely self-sustaining, can burn from 4-5 hours and even give you a built-in cooking surface – all from one log.
Here’s a version for you campers, preppers and survivialists…without having to split wood:
Can do the same thing with a coffee can, a roll of toilet paper and pour a lil karosine in it. Will burn for a good 24hr or longer. When flame starts to burn out pour more fuel in it. Will burn for weeks
This is also called a Redneck fireplace. The only difference is that instead of cutting the log all the way down to the bottom, leave about 3-4 inches then you don’t have to use baling wire. Then pour a little diesel fuel in the center near the bottom. When you go camping just put the log where you want it and then light the bottom center. DO NOT USE GASOLINE!!!!!!! The reason you use diesel or kerosene is because it won’t explode on you. You don’t even have to use kindling to get it started. I REPEAT, DO NOT USE GASOLINE.
I just thought y’all might give it a try.
