A jury decided last year that the owner of a small organic farm, Shellie Smith, still owes $4000 after a raid by SWAT that destroyed her farm.
Garden of Eden, a small organic in Arlington, Texas, was the target of a SWAT raid in 10-hour long search with Smith being held at gunpoint at one point.
Arlington police dept. stated that there were complaints of marijuana being grown on the premises, but none was found on the property. Instead, law enforcement confiscated 17 blackberry bushes, 15 okra plants, 14 tomatillo plants, native grasses and sunflowers.

I’m glad that I moved out of Arlington, Texas when my dad died. The sheriff’s department busted down my front door and broke sections out of my back fence while I was out of state for my dad’s funeral. By the way, the reason my dad died is because the hospital “accidentally” gave him an overdose of Potassium, one of the main drugs given to execute prisoners who are found guilty of capital crimes. At the same time the SWAT team is raiding blueberries and okra, they are allowing gangs to terrorize Arlington.
This is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have too much government gone amok. Being back sanity and mind your business.
If it’s not poisoned then it’s illegal
unbelievable.take them to court.
When is the seat teams going to arrest the Clinton’s???
Code ordinances are unconstitutional fodder for busybody neighbors who just love calling the police on people. The City of Arlington, Texas has many of these armored military type vehicles and many more hot dog police and sheriff’s deputies that are just itching to arrest someone, break their doors down, confiscate their blueberry plants, etc. No exaggeration! When I lived in Arlington, Texas sheriff’s deputies came to my house while I was out if state for my father’s funeral, broke sections out of my back fence, busted down my front door and door frame and then called me on my cell phone and laughed about it. Previous to that I happened to be driving past the church where they also have a Christian school, and the whole parking lot was full of Arlington police vehicles, including many military style armored vehicles, enough to terrorize all of the sunflowers and blueberries growers in Tarrant county, much less the City of Arlington, Texas.
This is just wrong!
When a seat team raids your house and you don’t get shot your lucky. Cause they been sent to shoot something. To many cases in. The news of cops shooting then. Asking what ever happened to the taser
After reading this article,I’ve been sitting here smoking okra leaves and blue berries for hours and all I have is a sore throat and a headache. Sounds like this whizbang SWAT team and city is in for a massive law suit.
