The Supreme Court in a unanimous 9-0 vote strengthened the law that states if someone is found guilty of domestic violence, even if no actual violence was proved, they can’t own a gun.
What part of ‘shall not be infringed’ regarding the 2nd Amendment do these ‘justices’ not understand?
To take someone’s gun because they have been involved in domestic violence will NOT stop domestic violence from occurring in the future.
These 2 issues are not related in any way.

Felons of any kind can’t posess. I don’t see that one debated . Shall not be infringed was als written at a time when kids were whipped with a switch leaving black an blue marks and a woman had a place and it was ok to abuse her if she didn’t mind her husband. That changed. Do we take every word as it was written and realistically apply it to today after passing laws and evolving as a society where beating our woman and children are not accepted behavior? Perhaps there are times when common sense and welfare of life needs to be put onto the picture. If you could guarantee me that every person owning a gun was cautios and responsible maybe. If my blind adult son had a gun and every time he heard a noise at the door or by the window, the world could end up with a lot less pizza delivery people and meter readers. If you think a should get him a gun for Christmas, please get in touch and I will send you a plane ticket to Mich. and include his address. Make sure you make noise when approaching the door ok?
ANY BODY CAN OWN A GUN IF THE WANT TO. MY LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT TO ME ,THAN ANY COURT RULE
They’ve already been taking guns away for years. Convicted felons (even if there is NO VIOLENCE WHATSOEVER in their crime) are prohibited from owning firearms… So much for serving your time and moving on with your life. Serve your time and be fair game for violent criminals who want your stuff is more like it…
Wow!!
Time for new judges.
cops get a pass though right? HAHAHAHAHAHAA, this country has imploded, it’s over. Stalin is waking up just to see it…
There is no cure or treatment for someone who is an abuser, except a true life-changing experience with the Lord Jesus. No classes help at all. I am a therapist that has worked in this field many years. No one charged with domestic violence that is legitimate should be able to own a gun. The problem is making sure that it is a legitimate case of domestic violence and not just someone making up stuff.
Unfortunately my son became entangled with domestic violence because of his horrible (now) wife. She likes causing trouble & inciting him to violence & trust me it takes a lot to push him that far. Police were talking to her about an unrelated matter at their place after he moved out & saw a mark she claims he made & told a sob story making him the bad guy & well now he is the one with the record. At her divorce/custody from her previous husband she got on the wrong side of the judge & when time came for my son’s custody fight the judge remembered her & she defied him while a witness & walked out of the courtroom & left. I have no contact with my son because he married this idiot after losing custody of his children because of her.
Even if they did not instigate the violence.
no secret service for supreme judges either/
