The U.S. Supreme Court has just green-lit law enforcement officers to enter American homes without a warrant.
At least there was some dissent; Justice Alito wrote about the 6-3 decision that, “When occupants of a residence disagree on whether they will admit police without a warrant, the objecting occupant must be physically present. That doesn’t change if police have removed the objector…”
Just turn that over in your mind for a moment and you can start to see how truly dangerous a precedent that is!
Read page 2 for background on the case and ruling:
It is clear the Justices are corrupt…
Without a warrant, they become a violation of my rights and will be shot on site.
Then I’ll be defending myself illegally.
Check out the journalistic gymnastics on this one.
Looks like the U.S. Constitution has been bastardized again — this time by the SUPREME COURT.
Brian, although youbtrybto speak as thoufhbtoubare highly educated, it is tiubsir that are oblivious to what the article’s point is. You took the initial story, that lead’s up to the actual story and based the entire article off of an opening statement. So let me help you out. The article says that police can enter your home if you are not there. So example 1: you are at the grocery store, shopping for milk, if you are not home to tell the police they cannot enter, without a warrant, they can enter. Example 2: you got arrested for an offense, let’s say in another county. The police go to your home to search it, since you are not there to tell them no, they can enter your home without a warrant. So, let’s not argue about you buying milk, or being arrested in another county. Let’s talk about how the cops can now enter your home without a warrant
Since when does the supreme court make law?
I will keep arms at hand in my house. Any intrusion will be met with force.
James…I am educated and also a cop with major crimes and drug trafficking. We can enter a home with consent (in this case), pursuant to a search warrant, or in cases of exigent circumstance (seems to vary in different jurisdictions but in mine, when life and limb are at risk). Absent any of the above conditions, we cannot make entry and should we, are case will be tossed. The headline is misleading and the portion that I cited was the pertinent information for the entry.
Im assuming that includes the justice’s too let’s see if you like it if police just enter your homes without warrant.
Better have a lot of bullet proof gear on.
